Checking the weather is essential to planning your trip to Knott’s Scary Farm. A person can love the rain as well as Knott’s Scary Farm. That being said a rainy night at Knott’s Scary Farm is the worst.
Scary Farm is an annual Halloween-themed event of Knott’s Berry Farm from September 20 to October 31. From my past experience, the first thing to notice walking in, is a  scary man sliding around on the floor in knee pads at the gate. On a rainy night, walking in is lame and boring because there’s a crowd of angry people trying to get refunds at the Information building. Note: there are no refunds. The rides will not be running in caution of a lighting strike. To be there unwillingly is no problem, there is nothing to be afraid of because the rain scares the monsters away. There are little to no monsters out on a rainy night compared to a regular night. This leaves the mazes and the arcade games they have as the only things to do.  At least an hour wait is the average amount of time the lines are in the rain. No jacket?, When it begins to rain they sell rain ponchos for only $3. A normal night consist of high levels of suspense and terror as a variety of scary characters roam the park throughout the night. Lines are also shorter on normal nights because the rides are open as well as the mazes. In the rain, I rate the experience a 6/10. The rain absolutely robs the experience of ‘Scary Farm’. A rating of 9/10 would be a normal night full of excitement. Tickets range from $44 to $60 depending on whether you go on the weekend or weekday. It starts at 7pm to 1am, or 2am if it’s the weekend.
