Global Warming and the People

On February 6, 2019, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that 2018 was the fourth hottest year on record. In fact, the previous five years have been the hottest years on record since the data has been recorded since 1880. In total, since 1880, the earth’s surface temperature has risen by 2 degrees Fahrenheit. This may not seem like a big change, but in reality, it is changing our world. So this leads to the question, does global warming exist?
Since 1880, there have been numerous advances that have taken the world to another level. There is also a greater population on the planet presently than there was in 1880. In fact, there are nearly 6 billion more people on earth now than there was in 1880. With more factories in the world, more people on the road, and more fossil fuels being consumed, there should be consequences that would impact the people.
What is not often discussed is what happens to the animals and the environment. Sea levels are rising due to glaciers melting. This causes floods to be more common which can cause havoc to land and to those that live there. Since glaciers are melting, animals who live on the glaciers are left without a home.
Humans have produced so much excess waste that it is now beginning to affect the lives of the people. Factories that produce goods for the people release gases that are harmful to the atmosphere. These gases are called Greenhouse Gases. The level of Greenhouse Gases in the atmosphere is higher now than anytime in the previous 80,000 years.
Evidence shows that global warming exists because of how much the planet has changed since 1880, when data was first being recorded. With all of the data present, it is sure to make people wonder what will happen in the near future. Day by day, more and more animals and people are suffering, as well as the environment. We need to make better decisions if we want the planet to be in good shape for our children and generations to come. Whether it is lifestyle or travelling, anything that can be done to help the environment should be done for the greater good of humanity.
